How to Stay Fit With The Whole Family

Have you put on a couple of pandemic pounds? Don’t worry, you’re not the only one, and it’s only a matter of time before you’ll burn it off. But what about the kids? Have they put on a bit of weight too? To help keep the whole family healthy and happy, the team here at Readgrad has some suggestions for exercises the whole family can do together.

Burpees and jumping jacks. You remember doing them as a kid, but they’re a great way to stay active as grown ups too! Plus, based on your own experiences you already know that kids love burpees and jumping jacks, so you’re all set!

Play in the backyard. Running around in a wide open space is one of the best ways for a kid to get some exercise. Games like Red Rover or Big Bad Wolf are not only fun, they get kids moving, and when the parents get involved they get every bit as much benefit. But the fun doesn’t have to stop there, why not make up your own games while you’re at it?

Swimming. Although many public pools are currently closed, many are lucky enough to live within driving distance of public beaches. For the rest of us, the pools will hopefully be open again soon, and when they do, a family swim is a great way to stay fit together!
